St. Finian’s Club Development Project
The St. Finian’s Club Development project is the next step in the history of St. Finian’s GAA.
Phase 1 of the project will develop a 95m x 65m All Weather Playing pitch at the St. Finian’s GAA Aylmer Road grounds.
Following Phase 1 and depending on the fundraising efforts LED floodlights and the completion of the GAA Walking Track will complete Phase 2 of the project.
The cost of delivering the All Weather Pitch is ~€500,000. St. Finian’s plans to make use of National Grants, Local Authority Grants, Fundraising and a GAA loan to secure the necessary money for this project.
The breakdown of fundraising sources is as follows;
– €174,000 = Sports Capital Funding
– €60,000 = Rural LEADER funding
– €100,000 = GAA Loan Funding
– €125,000 = Club Fundraising
It is hoped that work on the project could begin in Winter 2025 and be completed with an official opening by Winter 2026.

Fundraising Finian’s ‘300’ Wall
We are projecting that we will need to fundraise €125,000 in order to fully fund the entire project. To raise this money we are launching the Finian’s ‘300’ Wall.
The Finian’s “300” Wall will raise €125,000. All of the fundraised money will be going towards the All Weather Astro pitch development. The wall will be creatively designed in conjunction with The Printed Image, a long time supporter of St. Finian’s GAA.

The Finian’s ‘300’ Wall will display the names of the 300 individuals, families and businesses which donate to this fundraising effort. The massive wall will be positioned prominently beside the club car park and the entrance to the All Weather Pitch.
The names of supports will be seen for years to come and will ensure that those who take pride in their club and who donated are recognised for all to see.
